BREXIT: End of Transition Period - New Packaging Standard - Follow Up

Dear Supplier Partners,

following our communication of November 20, 2020 on the Supplier Portal, related to wooden packaging, we are here to remark that starting from January 1, 2021, all the material shipped in UK using Wooden Packaging will need to have an ISPM15 Certification or be bark-free, or have a plant passport if it’s made out of conifer wood. If it’s kiln dried, it must also be marked ‘KD’.

Both the components shipment pallets or crates are included, but also wooden parts used for whole-good shipments in the UK.

Any kind of certification must be visible during a possible physical inspection within the Customs.

These rules do not apply to processed woods like plywood, raw wood less than 6mm thick, or cardboard or other packaging materials.

Please refer to the following link, reporting the latest indication for UK Government:

Best regards.
