Clarification regarding the EORI number in customs procedures

Dear Suppliers,

We provide herewith an important clarification regarding the use of EORI number in customs procedures.

EORI stands for “Economic Operators Registration and Identification number”.

Businesses and people wishing to trade must use the EORI number as an identification number in all customs procedures when exchanging information with Customs administrations. You will need to use YOUR EORI number to lodge customs declaration for export or import formalities.

FCA / FOB/ CPT / CIP / CIF / CFR / DDU / DAP / DAT / DDP Incoterms means that You, being the Seller, are responsible to carry out export formalities in the country of dispatch, by appointing your own customs broker to manage export formalities on your behalf.

PLEASE NOTE THAT EXPORT DECLARATIONS SHOULD INDICATE YOUR EORI NUMBER AND NOT CNH INDUSTRIAL’S.

We thank you for you co-operation and attention to this matter.

Kind regards,
CNH Industrial Purchasing
